Rome, 7-8 July 2024: Partners dared Rome’s heatwave and gathered for the project’s first General Assembly to review the progress of HyPEF’s activities during the first six months of the project and to set the stage for future advancements.
Key Discussions and Insights
A primary focus of the assembly was the selection of hydrogen product categories and sub-categories for developing the pioneering Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules. An engaging brainstorming session yielded valuable insights into the criteria for category selection, ensuring that HyPEF’s choices align with the Clean Hydrogen Partnership’s expectations, represent potential future routes and technologies for clean hydrogen deployment and support the qualification of hydrogen products as sustainable investments.
Welcome to HyPEF! We will deliver and test the FIRST EVER Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCRs) for fuel cells and hydrogen (FCH) products.
Other Highlights
The meeting also covered:
- Updates on the newly formed Advisory Working Group,
- Plans for future stakeholder engagement activities to validate HyPEF’s methodological research,
- Upcoming communication and dissemination actions to boost the visibility of the project’s advancements in LCA and hydrogen product benchmarking.
